IT Specialist (Network/SysAdmin)

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Polk, Louisiana. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Major duties: Prepare Information Management (IM) and Information Technology (IT) strategic plans. Review and approve all contracts for IM/IT personnel, services, and equipment. Oversee the telehealth/virtual health pilot program for the Military Treatment Facility (MTF). Develop and implements the strategy, policies, plans, and standards required for compliance with Information Management Technology Reform Act (Clinger-Cohen) of 1996 and the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). Develop customer-oriented relationships between IM/IT staff and health care providers by encouraging interaction through joint committees. Supervise assigned employees and oversee the planning, direction, and execution of numerous programs throughout the MTF.
