FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Major duties: Analyzes, plans, and evaluates directorate functions to determine validity, propriety, accuracy, and adequacy of work processes. Reviews and analyzes a variety of reports received from internal and external sources, including reports produced by automated systems. Interprets applicable guidelines and regulations to assist in implementation of approved/directed internal procedural changes to accomplish financial management objectives. Ability to prepare and present oral and written presentations to senior level agency managers. Performs quality control examinations of operations, policies, procedures, and internal controls including the analysis of data and information. The incumbent works independently on continuing assignments or projects that require application of standard well established principles, concepts, and techniques of the occupation. Duties will be developmental in nature when the position is filled below the full performance level (GS-11).
