SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)

You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) in the U.S. Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Guam of NAVAL COMP TELCOM AREA WESTPAC. A post allowance amount, (otherwise known as: COLA), of 11.88% will be added to the stated salary. Post allowance is subject to change at any time. Major duties: You will develop long-range technology and communications plans that identify future needs, gaps, and improvements for supported organizations. You will evaluate technical options and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions for information systems, networks, and communications services. You will design and review communications systems, network equipment, and supporting facilities to ensure reliable, compatible service. You will lead technology projects from requirements through completion, track progress, and ensure work meets approved plans and standards. You will advise leaders and customers on technology needs, service options, system issues, and proposed improvements. You will supervise staff by assigning work, supporting training, evaluating performance, and resolving workplace concerns fairly.
