FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Major duties: Conducts comprehensive financial reviews and evaluations of work processes, controls, and records to ensure absolute compliance with statutory regulations, efficiency standards, and agency strategic goals. Analyzes complex financial transactions, automated system reports, and trends to validate problem areas, correct transaction errors, and propose data-driven operational improvements. Plans and executes specialized financial analysis, cost studies, and budgetary forecasts to propose strategic courses of action and advise key leadership on critical resource implications . Prepares and delivers high-impact briefings, staff summary packages, and position papers to influence key stakeholders, resolve controversial issues, and drive collaborative business decisions. Manages the risk management program. Conducts risk reviews, analyzes operational impacts, and develops contingency plans to mitigate risk. Identifies risk opportunities, maintains the risk matrix, and briefs executive management on priority issues.
