SUPV MILITARY PAY TECHNICIAN

Major duties: Plans, schedules, and assigns work to subordinates; adjusts duties to utilize skills, manage fluctuating workloads, eliminate pay action backlogs, and ensure timely processing. Oversees technical work of Military Pay Technicians; interprets complex regulations and system updates; reviews work with the authority to accept, amend, or reject transactions. Analyzes customer feedback and metrics to identify operational problem areas, select optimal courses of action, and implement workflow changes to boost productivity and quality. Executes HR tasks, including developing performance plans, appraisals, hiring, scheduling leave, initiating awards or disciplinary actions, and maintaining attendance logs. Delivers training on entitlements and systems; handles informal grievances, EEO programs, and union issues; keeps staff aligned with management policies and objectives.
