This announcement will be used to fill one full-time, temporary not-to-exceed 1 year from the date of appointment position and may be terminated or extended at any time. At the end of time limited reassignment or promotion or based on the departmental needs, the position may be made permanent or the incumbent may be returned to their permanent position of record. Major duties: Directs and manages core human resources program functions in a customer-centric environment in accordance with law, regulations, standards, policies and precedents of the Office of Personnel Management, DFAS, and the Department of Defense. Designs and oversees the conduct of special human resources studies that develop customer specific options to resolve long term human resources problems or anticipate future human capital needs. Develops human resources practices and initiatives to enhance the Agency's human resources programs and provide best customer value and service. Responsible, directly or through subordinate supervisors, for organizing, planning and directing the work of staff providing operational personnel services. Performs the full range of supervisory responsibilities to include planning and reviewing work, staffing the office, identifying training needs, implementing EEO policies, evaluating employees' performance, and carrying out disciplinary actions.
