SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN

Major duties: Supervises and directs Accounts Maintenance and Control functions verifying the accuracy, completeness, and validity of accounting transactions and vendor payments. Ensures the proper maintenance and reconciliation of accounts and trial balances by reviewing documents for verification of accounting data and determining entries required to correct discrepancies. Interprets Accounts Maintenance and Control regulations, requirements, and policies, including changes, updates, and automated systems modifications, to ensure compliance. Trains and assists lower-level accounting technicians with techniques to correct and process accounting inputs. Ensures accuracy, propriety, and legality of accounting transactions through extensive review of documents.
