The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as senior information technology (IT) specialist and consultant to management in support of installation IT policy and plans. Major duties: Performs studies and establishes plans of action for improving the efficiency of information technology applications. Assesses policy needs and develops policy and procedures governing IT activities. Functions as a senior technical advisor on contract and budget activities. Represents the organization at conferences and meetings and presents briefings. Leads and/or participates in discussions, meetings, conferences, committees or special IT projects.
