SUPV IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA- DBC/SERVICES DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORATE. Major duties: Serves as the Chief of the JPES Product and Integration Section, directing a highly technical workforce of civilian, military, and contractor personnel Establishes performance standards, manages product backlogs, and schedules iterative work completion using Agile methodologies. Leads comprehensive engineering functions within a DevSecOps environment, combining Scaled Agile Framework techniques with robust CI/CD pipelines and "shift-left" cybersecurity practices to ensure high-quality software delivery. Drives the development of comprehensive transition strategies, ensuring that newly developed capabilities and Software Intensive Systems are seamlessly integrated, tested and handed off to lifecycle sustainment and Product Support teams. Champions innovation/automation via Agile metrics, pipeline data, and feedback loops to spot risks, mitigate failures, and deliver actionable recommendations to leadership. Represent technical authority to senior DoD/DISA/Joint Staff leaders. Brief in-depth capabilities, defend strategic resources, and tailor acquisition docs to enable rapid software release..
