IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

Major duties: Conducts information systems security evaluations, audits, assessments and reviews to identify vulnerabilities, risks and protection needs. Assesses security threats and implements corrective action. Implements modifications to systems to minimize vulnerabilities. Troubleshoots security threats and vulnerabilities in response to incident reports. Monitors and evaluates compliance with IT security policies and procedures in the development of information systems. Understands core components of Federal Information Systems Control Audit Manual (FISCAM) and will assist applications with FISCAM and audit compliance questions and requirements. Participates in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies and procedures. Continually evaluates and recommends adoption of new IT security methods that enhance capabilities.
