IT Specialist (APPSW/INET)

About the Position: The IT Specialist (APPSW/INET) provides support to Naval Health Clinic Quantico in Washington, DC, helping ensure consistent, high-quality patient care and facility operations. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Major duties: Serve as an Information Technology (IT) Subject matter expert with duties to provide direct customer service integration support for the Information Systems Engineering (ISEC) SharePoint Portal design. Develop the strategy for optimal system integration with other collaborative tools within the organization. Advise management concerning state-of-the-art techniques, software, and hardware. Develop web application programs, assures optimum equipment utilization, achieves functional goals, and enhances program maintenance. Work with Information Assurance staff to provide information and documentation required for network system accreditations. Maintain web applications to ensure that updates are performed to the latest requirements to meet application programming and Information Assurance requirements. Review, interpret, and execute DOD, HQDA, and command policies and guidelines for data and system security including DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
