Civil Engineer (STRUCTURAL)

About the Position: Functions as a structural engineer technical specialist and hydraulic steel structures (HSS) manager for various projects, including complex hydro power plant projects in Design Branch. Major duties: Senior Structural Engineer and Program Manager: Implements and executes the District’s HSS Program to ensure compliance with ER 1110-2-8157, “Responsibility for Hydraulic Steel Structures”. Project Lead and regional HSS SME: Prepares budgets, scopes, and schedules in coordination with project managers. Provides leadership in concert with project manager on complex projects Technical Review: Reviews and has final approval authority over all structural engineering features of A-E designs reviewed by senior Structural Engineers within the Section.
