GENERAL ENGINEER

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for certain competitive service positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a General Engineer at the Logistics Directorate of SOUTHCOM in Miami, FL. Major duties: Responsible for planning and integrating multi disciplinary engineering activities that support theater campaign objectives. Advise leadership officials to include partnering nations regarding engineering factors influencing resource planning and operational feasbility. Determine engineering programs' resource needs and allocate assets according to priority of the organization's missions. Monitor engineering projects such as contingency construction, humanitarian civic assistance, and counter - narcotics operations. Coordinate engineering support across operational, humanitarian, and engagement programs to ensure proper alignment with command priorities and overarching theater objectives. Provide consultations to command leadership regarding engineering implications of military operations, infrastructure posture, host-nation engagement, and strategic investment decisions.
