Major duties: Responsible for the execution of managerial oversight for a workforce performing essential, support activities which facilitate the mission of DFAS. Performs full range of technical and administrative first line supervisory duties, managing a staff of subordinate GS employees. Assigns work to subordinates based on workload, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Explains work requirements; establishes clear expectations; monitors progress; reviews work for technical adequacy and compliance with established policies and procedures. Develops work performance standards, evaluates subordinates’ performance, and prepares performance ratings.
