Contract Specialist

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is being recruited for San Antonio, TX or Pensacola, FL. Major duties: Serves as Contract Specialist responsible for a variety of duties associated with the acquisition ofhighly complex DHA requirements and administration of contracts through close out. Structures solicitations that include special contractual language or other innovations necessary to satisfy unique procurement requirements and conditions for which there may not be precedent. Conducts pre-proposal conferences. Performs post award contracting work. Ensures that contracting documents and other actions necessary for successful negotiation and award are completed.
