SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL SPECIALIST

(Military Pay Case Team) Serves as a liaison to support the development of new work sites or transfers. Assists in assessing workload, personnel requirements, and systems support requirements. Develops and implements standard work processes to enhance detection and correction of errors, uniformity of procedures, and improvement of the organization’s productivity. Assists in review, preparation, and revision of Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs). Participates in financial systems tests, and analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of ADP applications used by the Organization. Develops detailed reports based on results of systems tests identifying problems, errors, and needed modifications. Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and reviews the work of subordinate branches involved in carrying out the mission and functions of the division. Ensures efficient utilization and professional development of staff. Accepts, amends, or rejects work, appraises the performance of staff members. Evaluates internal payment policies, procedures, controls, and work outputs to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) payment policies and directives.
